Iron meteorites, Eisenmeteorite 1A Qualität

from finest to coarsest

Ataxites: Ataxites are rare iron meteorites that lack almost completely the Widmanstätten Crystal Pattern Structure noticable in octahedrites and the Neumann Lines seen in hexahedrites

Plessitic Octahedrite

Taza, NWA 859

Finest Octahedrite, smaller bandwidth of the lamella than 0.2mm and such the material has higher sparkling luster and more beautiful for small cut jewelry stones is:  Due to the narrow bandwidth of the lamella the material is extremely resistant, fresh and absolutely crack free since the XX are even tighter together.

Remember that we are most likely the only one that have perfect quality (100% top gem quality, so the value is always more than backed up by the cutting gem value and the material is totally stable and such ment for eternity).

Of course you are welcome to look around elsewhere for better deals (we would be very surprise). It might well be that ou get better prices for non gem-grade material (different than the crystal group of "fine octahedrite") from locations like Campo or Nantan. But it is not difficult to predict you will be less happy of such a purchase (in terms of stability and the ability to resell those again - how much can you resell a dead rabbit?).

finest-Octahedrite-Gibeon-square Anomalous Gibeon: smaller bandwidth of the lamella than regular Gibeon iron 0.15-0.2mm and such the material has higher sparkling luster and more beautiful for small cut jewelry stones is:  Due to the narrow bandwidth of the lamella the material is extremely resistant, fresh and absolutely crack free since the XX are even more tight together. Due to its  smaller bandwidth of the lamella this material is by far superior for small and fine jewelry.

Recovered from the Western edge of the Kalahari Desert, Gibeon iron meteorites are a true gem  of a huge meteorite shower that fell to Earth almost 3000 thousand years ago when giant iron masses entered Earth’s upper atmosphere before exploding and raining down upon South Western Africa. In 1836 this meteorite was first described as Gibeon Iron from heaven. It is not at all prone to oxidizing as many other iron meteorites. When polishes and etched, Gibeon exhibits a brilliant fine-octahedral pattern called Wittmannstaedtsche Kristallmuster.
